“My husband and I have said for 20 years, “Wouldn’t it be nice to find a place in the mountains we could buy, move to and make a living.” Well 21 years later we found our place in this little hamlet of a community called Elk River and we purchased the Elk River Lodge & General Store. We are truly blessed to live, work and play in our own back yard, a place where our children can come and enjoy this beauty. Our grand kids can make memories camping, fishing and “working” for Grandma and Grandpa. And best of all, all of the Huckleberry Ice Cream that you could ever want.”
