Tucked deep in the mountains of Idaho near the cool waters of the Elk Creek Reservoir, the Elk River Lodge is the ideal getaway. Our 9 room lodge and general store are surrounded by rugged snow-capped mountain peaks, rich forests ripe in unique fauna and wildlife, and abound in activities for nature lovers and outdoor sports enthusiasts of all levels.
Your family’s perfect escape to the Lodge in Elk River begins with your journey getting there. The Lodge is so remote in the unspoiled wilderness that you will only reach it by following Highway 8 until its very end.

Rooms
The Bear room / $75 per night
Fit for one, but spacious enough for two, The Bear Room has a queen size bed, dresser, Direct TV, and writing desk with two chairs.
The Deer room / $75 per night
Whether you’re a couple or traveling solo, The Deer Room is there for when you want to live it up. It features a plush queen bed, Direct TV, dresser, and a writing desk for two.
the moose room / $65 per night
This room features two singles and a table for two. No frills, no flair, no TV ; this is the perfect simple getaway.
The Dock Room / $65 PER NIGHT
Here we have The Dock Room which features two single beds, separate writing desks, and no distracting Television. Ah, perfect simplicity…
The Cougar room / $75 per night
Cozy on in to this den of The Cougar Room featuring two single beds, a writing desk, closet and Direct TV. This room is no fuss perfection.
The Horse room / $75 per night
One of my personal favorites, this little get up is the best of all worlds so you can ride on into town with no worries. The Horse Room has a queen bed, table for two and Direct TV.
the loft room / $110 per night
For the traveling couple or a lone traveler, this room will be perfect for you. This brightly lit wonder has a cozy queen bed, dinette set for two with a microwave and mini fridge. It also features a private bath with a shower, Direct TV, a private deck and a delightful fireplace.
the family room / $110 per night
With two single beds and a King, The Family Room will fit all of your needs. It features a table and cozy chairs for working or eating, a dresser, and direct TV.
The Elk Suite / $125 per night
We have a suite available with Direct TV and a bedroom that features a King bed, separate living area with mini fridge, dining set and day bed. It also has a private extended bathroom with Jacuzzi tub.
*all rooms include use of the lodges full kitchen, dining area, common living area, bathrooms with showers and a deck overlooking the town
Check in is at 3 pm Check out is 11 am come to the store’s front desk to check in
we serve a WONDERFUL breakfast from 7am-12pm and Incredible Lunch from 11am - 5pm
*These rooms can sometimes go fast, so we try and be fair when it comes to our online booking system, meaning the first form that we receive will be the first to book the room. We will give confirmation within 24 hours but feel free to call as well. Our hours are from 7 am to 7 pm, so any after hours calls or emails will be responded to the next day.
Cancellations & Refunds
By reserving a room at The Elk River Lodge, you agree to the following policies, terms, and conditions. We are a very small facility and that forces us to be rather restrictive in our cancellation policy.
You must call at least 1 weeks in advance of your reservation in order to cancel barring extenuating circumstances. If you call within the week time period, you will only be charged a fee of $15 per day for the amount of your reserved stay. If you do not call, you will be charged the full amount of your reserved stay.
